Assistant Professor Dr. Kulabutr Komenkul serves as a committee member of the Thai Medical and Wellness Tourism Association (TMWTA), an organization established to promote collaboration among hospitals, medical specialists, wellness providers, and service industry professionals to strengthen Thailand’s position as a leading global destination for medical and wellness tourism. In this role, Dr. Komenkul contributes his expertise in finance, innovation, and strategic development to support the association’s mission and vision.
The mission of TMWTA is to serve as a central platform that connects both domestic and international entrepreneurs, while enhancing knowledge and capacity across the ecosystem. Its vision is to be a collaborative hub for businesses in medical services, wellness, hospitality, tourism, and related sectors, with the aim of boosting competitiveness and maintaining Thailand’s leadership in medical and wellness tourism. The association also sets key development goals: to increase commercial opportunities for Thai businesses in the health and wellness tourism sector; to enable international competitiveness among Thai providers; and to foster stronger collaboration within the national cluster.
Dr. Komenkul’s involvement focuses on supporting policy alignment with Thailand’s economic strategy, promoting digital transformation across the association’s member network, and building cross-sector partnerships that integrate startups, government agencies, and healthcare institutions.
